That, in essence, is what the regional ombudsman told the regional parliament. Outgoing, Defensor del Pueblo, José Chamizo, presented his last yearly report to the assembled MP’s belonging to the Comisión de Gobierno Interior, in which he clearly said that people are very angry and sick to death with their continual bickering.
Leaving the MP’s, no doubt open-mouthed, he went on to deliver the rest of the report, detailing 6,303 complaints received by his office during 2011, which is slightly fewer than 2010. Most of the complaints centred around education (881), environment (531), social services and dependencies 461, amongst others.
Finally, he offered some advice on the way forward, inviting the politicians to leave their squabbles aside and get down to sorting out the problems that concern the regions citizens.
