One particular construction company had its back to the wall by the end of 2008, with the ‘Brick Bubble’ coming apart. Accordingly, they decided to file for bankruptcy. However, in January 2009 ‘crooks’ broke into the company offices and cracked the safe, getting away with 110,000 euros… or did they?

The Guardia Civil investigated the robbery, but through a lack of evidence and leads, the investigation was shelved. Yet here we are, three years later, and the Public Prosecutor has accused the owner of the company of staging the robbery.

Accordingly, the owner and the chief administrative official of the Churriana de la Vega company, who allegedly carried out the staged burglary, face 18 months imprisonment each and will also have to return the missing money, if found guilty.
