(Metropolitan Granada) A couple were arrested for growing marijuana on their roof terrace. Now, more than a few people grow wonky weed at home, in planters or flower pots, which is legal, as long as the quantity can be interpreted as ‘personal consumption,’ but the couple had taken the interpretation a little too far.

The couple, aged 22 and 25 respectively, were cultivating plants that had grown so high that they were clearly visible from the street – eight plants, all told. Even though the woman had managed to get rid of some of the plants when the police came knocking, the tiny forest that they had been nurturing, would have served as their personal consumption into the next century, hence the police interpretation that it was being grown for onward sale.
