In the early hours of the 15th, a stolen 4×4 car was driven through the entrance of a jeweller’s to gain access. The burglary, commonly known as a ‘ram raid’, took place in La Plaza de San Agustin, which is in the centre of Motril (Next to the municipal market).
According to police sources, between two and four thieves wearing masks, took part in the burglary. The gang used a BMW as a getaway car, which was waiting in a nearby street for their return.
[mappress]In the short time that the gang were in the shop, they managed to clean out all of the jewellery on display.
