In Possession of Stolen Goods

The Guardia Civil has arrested an Almuñequero, in connection to a stolen music system belonging to an Herradureño.

The victim of the robbery, who runs a service to provide a complete sound system for live concerts, had most of it nicked (stolen), including two large loudspeakers, main amplifiers, microphones, wide-screen monitors, mixing table and the whole paraphenalia of other necessary items to be able to provide sound for live performances. Bereft, the owner reported the theft on the 24th of May, with the summer-concert season looming.

The police immediately began investigating and on the 31st of May discovered in a nearby, empty, ground-floor premises, some items that answered to the description given.

When the Guardia Civil located the premises owner and had him open it up they did indeed find half of he stolen items. The owner said that he had bought the items, second hand from a lad in Almunecar. The value of the recovered items is around 3,000 euros.

Consequently, the premises owner was arrested & charged with being in possession of stolen goods and then released without bail conditions pending trial.

Information given in his statement led the police to the Punta de la Mona where the rest of the stolen goods was discovered, hidden underneath some bushes.
