Still on a judicial note, a man has been found guilty of stealing a Guardia Civil surveillance camera that they had set up to monitor the sale of drugs.
The police knew that the buying and selling of hashish was taking place in the Chana (popular nickname for the Concepcion council, housing estate) in Almunecar, so they mounted the surveillance camera, but not very well hidden, it would seem. In the Chana, anything that is not bolted down lasts less time than a bowl of free sweets at a kleptomaniac convention.
Anyway, the lad was fined 180 euros and ordered to pay 100 euros in compensation to the Guardia Civil for the camera, which was never seen again.
