Pep Benaiges, the pen behind the Gazette’s Spanish article, El Catalejos, is one of the most likeable people in La Herradura. He speaks excellent English and is very much into theatre, which runs in his family. But besides that, he has also probably the village’s most well known insurance broker/financial advisor, who set up business here in 1994.

Furthermore, Pep not only speaks English, as I pointed out, but his Spanish is easily understood by Spanish learners, as he is originally from Cataluña.

Until this month, he worked from home, but has finally decided to open up an office, so that not only can he visit his clients, but they can also visit him… and the new office is very easy to find: right next to Isla de Capri, and the newsagents.
