Over in Pórtugos, a hotel now sports an important collection of art pieces. The hotel, El Nuevo Malagueño de Pórtugos, has almost a hundred oil and watercolour paintings in its foyer, dining rooms and halls.

[mappress]Amongst the paintings are the works of José Ortuño,Eulogio Rosas, Juan Roex, Francisco Martín Morales, Sorroche, Francisco Valero, Eugenio Mayor and Antonio Peneda.

Literally thousands of people, from across Spain and abroad, have passed through and admired the collection. An unusual arrangement that the proprietors, José Mingorance and Sofía Martín, use certainly lends to increasing the size of the collection: artists come and stay to paint, paying for their accommodation with paintings.
