Wise Move To Spain’s Nick Westby has lots of good advice for saving money in Spain. His clients have saved thousands of euros using specialist currency exchange companies for a better exchange rate, compared to their own banks. As well as a better rate, they also usually transfer your funds for free.
Nick found a comparison to prove his point: on Friday 23rd April, he ran a comparison for someone transferring 300,000 Sterling into Euros. He asked his bank of 27 years, RBS in the UK, to give us their best commercial rate. When this was compared to Currencies Direct, the return would have been €15,390 more, plus no transfer charges.
It is not just for sterling, they do most other currencies from most countries. They also do small amounts or indeed monthly transfers you have to make for pensions or for property maintenance. These transfers can be to and from any country as well!
