Local Businesses

On a lighter note, where have I been this month? I popped up to El Mirador and saw Alix and Kevin, looking all refreshed and ready for another year of hard work, and producing fantastic food for all us lucky people. They have hit the ground running as usual, with a completely new menu, which looks fantastic, but still doing those fantastic lunches. Even the a la carte is available at lunchtime now… and when is the best time to go up there? Any time is the short answer to that question, as they are open seven days a week from 11 am. So, you could pop up, have a bit of lunch while perusing the fantastic new menu!
I have also visited Bar Nuevo Camping, which has reopened after some refurbishment work. Very nice it looks too, with a fireplace, bar area and restaurant area to the rear. Can’t say too much about the food as I haven’t yet put it to the test, but it looked great going to the tables, and I definitely felt that familiar growl in my ample belly area that would suggest I am going to enjoy my first taster! My favourite aspect of Barn Nuevo Camping though is the lovely corner terrace, where you can enjoy a drink and watch the world go about its business.
Lastly, I looked in on the new veterinary practice in c/Alhambra, Plaza de la Independencia, just to see how things were going since they opened up. It was great to see a new business, with fantastic new veterinary and grooming facilities, clients coming and going, and new business coming through the door daily. A breath of fresh air and real boost to the area for everyone, but most of all, of course, for the animals!
