The Asociación de Alcohólicos Rehabilitados de Almuñécar y La Herradura (ARDA) has handed back the small subvention that they received from the Town Hall, as, they say, they feel discriminated against. The reason for this lies in the fact that all the other associations/clubs have received 1,500 euros, where as ARDA only received 500 euros.
“We feel that we have been discriminated against as in previous years we received 5,500 euros. Last year we received nothing and this year only 500 euros,” said their spokesperson.
ARDA has been going since 1990 and has presently 350 members. “Each day we receive more and, unfortunately, younger and younger clients,” he added.
