Photographic Exhibition

How about a view of La Herradura from long ago? Well, the Photographic Exhibition now on view in the Civic Centre gives you just that. It will run until 10th September and is called ‘Memories of the Past’ and this will be its 25th edition.
The exhibition is put together by ‘Friends of La Herradura’ with support of the Mayor and is a popular event with many locals popping by to see their ancestors immortalised on film.
The selection of the photographs is done by Francisco Alaminos with a varied mixture of both local landscapes, everyday scenes and local characters, and having been to this same event last year, I can tell you it is really interesting to study the environment and how it has changed over the years, and how some places, although completely changed are still familiar.
If you speak with Paco at the exhibition, he will explain any of the exhibits, from where it was shot, to the name of the photographer and an explanation of the content or character if required.
A new feature this year is a set of large photos of Granada.
The exhibition is open every day from 20h until 22h in the Exhibition Hall of the Civic Centre.
