Here are a few pointers on places to eat in and around Almuñécar… firstly, try taking your hunger pains to La Yerba Buena, in Avenida de Europa, just up from the Majuelo Park.
They specialise in barbeque meats, and although this venue has only been open for a relatively short time under its new owners, it has become a favourite among both Spanish and foreign diners.
They have a nice Parisian-feel terrace area, but I really like the interior of this place, with its archways, white tablecloths and lots of wood; it’s a bit like being in a cottage. The menu is varied and interesting, and it’s not just me ‘bigging them up,’ as every comment I’ve heard about this place has been positive.
They are open from 11.00 to 17.00 and 19.00 to 23.00.
