Our last bit of good news is the recent marriage of Dave (Dangerous) Dye to his lovely fianceé Oxana. In a recent conversation with Dave, he explained that with the opening of his new bar Califa on the beachfront, an impending baby, and now a new wife, his outlook on life has changed considerably. Whilst still up for a bit of fun, he says he has come to realise what a responsibility the business along with a wife and baby will be.
Whenever you hear people speaking about weddings, even when the bride has a face like a Bulldog chewing a wasp, people always say how lovely she looks. It’s the same with funerals, where they say what a nice bloke the deceased was, even when he was a traffic warden! Well in this case, to say the bride looked stunning would be an understatement.
In a beautiful bridal gown, perfect makeup and hair, she was truly resplendent, and even Dave scrubbed up pretty well in his suit!
The day went off without a hitch, and after the wedding in Almuñécar, the reception was held at Califa.
Dave and Oxana have asked me to publicly thank Kevin & Alix at the Mirador, along with Alison for the beautiful cake, Mark for his work and fabulous food for the reception, Joe & Jackie for the cars and John & Martine Parker for the plentiful supply of bubbly. How Oxana’s hair and makeup did not just melt in the heat I will never know, but despite the stifling heat, everyone had a brilliant time, and just to prove that point, here is a picture of the happy couple. Congratulations from all at the Gazette!(Photo courtesy of the brilliant team at Gorilla Photography).
