The modernization work on Almuñécar’s oldest high school I.E.S. Antigua Sexi, which has been progressing busily, has successfully concluded. This high school first opened its doors over 40 years ago.
Half a million euros have been spent on these renovations of the western wing of the school, replacing windows, division walls, electrical installations, doors and woodwork in general. A lift has also been installed for pupils with physical limitations. For the same reason, a ramp has been built between the main building and the football pitch.
Whilst this work was going on, about half the school population received their classes in prefab huts, situated on the sports ground.
