All too often it happens that family and close relations caring for loved ones suffering from illnesses are overlooked, often not receiving sufficient amount of care and support themselves. So who cares for the carer?
Well, starting this month, the SAS (regional health department) will be offering training courses along the coast on how best to deal with carers of Alzheimer’s and Dementia sufferers. The courses will give guidance on how best to deal with both the emotional and physical aspects of caring and is aimed at helping the whole family of the sufferer not just the primary carer.
