The wonderful volunteers at The English Library in La Herradura are still looking for new members. These guys have fought tooth and nail to keep the library going, and all in the face of bureaucratic adversity, the like of which is normally encountered only by a British MP trying to sort out his expenses.
It is a credit to them that La Herradura now has an English library, a great selection of books, and it’s only €10 a year, which entitles you to borrow up to 8 books a fortnight!!
More importantly, you don’t have to live in La Herradura to take advantage of this wonderful service; it’s open to all-comers from Motril to Nerja and beyond. It’s open every Wednesday from 11am to 1pm and is situated on the third floor of the Civic Centre.
We’ll have no more ‘English books are so expensive here…’ moans from you lot, I don’t care where you live, just get your reading glasses and get your butt down to The English Library and make sure you have the measly sum of €10 in your pocket and enjoy the best of books for the next year, you know it makes sense!
