
The Sierra Nevada ski resort had a good weekend – the snow might be fast disappearing on the south side but on the north side, there’s still plenty.
The company that runs the ski station on Sierra Nevada, Cetursa, has issued a statement saying that they will not be opening the resort on the 28th as planned.
This weekend has seen the highest figures ever for visitors to the Sierra Nevada in a spring season: 21,000 skiers.
Despite a complete lack of rainfall and therefore natural snow, the Sierra Nevada Ski Station will go ahead and initiate its 2017-2018 skiing season.
