7-Star Receives Final Go Ahead

According to a CA press release, the Junta has said that Almuñecar, 7-star hotel can go ahead – a favourable report was given concerning the environmental impact on the Peñon de Lobo, where the hotel is to be sited.

The new municipal administration is working on modifications to its urban-development paperwork in an attempt to get the Junta de Andalucia to allow the 5-star hotel in Santa Cruz, Sebastian to open. The Hotel Cercado de Santa Cruz has been inactive for the last four years, although 75% complete, owing to terrain-qualification irregularities.

First Movements on 7-Star Site

Work began towards the end of last month on the hillside where the 7-star hotel is planned, after the Town Hall gave the green light for geo-technical surveys; i.e., sinking bore holes for strata samples.
