There's a certain irony to squatters getting burgled yet that is exactly what happened in Antequera, Málaga.

It was in the early hours that the squatters phoned the police to say that violent burglars were attempting to break in. The ‘residents’ had seen them climbing up to one of the balconies.

This all happened last Monday around one in the morning in the centre of Antequera. The police had shot round there in time to arrest the burglars and take statements from the inhabitants of the builiding, who admitted that they were squatting there after the officers had noticed that the frontdoor locks had been forced.

The arrested men were aged 33, 53 and 54. As for the squatters, they were informed that they were to appear before a police court, together with the burglars.
