Possible Explosion in Guájar House

The Guardia Civil have opened an investigation into a house fire in Guájar Alto in which a man was badly burnt.

The fire broke out last Saturday after what appeared to be an explosion. The Guardia Civil, bomb-disposal squad, Tedax-NRBQ were called in to examine the scene for clues.

The emergency coordination centre, 112, received an alert at 13.50h about a fire on Calle Parada. They immediately despatched the Motril fire service, the Guardia Civil and an ambulance.

The badly injured man was immediately transferred to the Hospital Neurotraumatología, Virgen de las Nieves in Granada together with another victim. The paramedics at the scene treated two men, aged 26 and 61.
