Immigrants Land on Crowded Beach

A RIB loaded will illegal immigrants landed on a crowded beach in Castell de Ferro yesterday with most leaping into the water before it landed so that the helmsman could make a quick getaway.

The incident took place around 14.00h when the beach was at its maximum capacity, leading to a totally surreal situation, which summed up the disparity between the First World and the Third World.

The Mayor of castell de Ferro, Antonia María Antequera, confimed that the landing had taken place on Playa Sotillo and that the Policía Local had joined the Guardia Civil in tracking down those that had landed, who had immediately scattered.

The Mayor says that they are not sure how many were on the RIB but one look at the photos of the landing taking place puts the number to around a dozen.
