The Policía Nacional in Málaga are investating a burglary at the Church of Saint George in the Cementerio Inglés, which is in the city.
It appears that the burglar gained entrance to the church by knocking a hole in the false ceiling after climbing onto the roof. The thief or thieves made off with the Sunday collection and donations.

Churchgoers discovered the hole in the roof on Wednesday morning and also found that the priest’s office had been rancsacked. Another loss was the donation money for a social kitchen which had been destined for buying crates of milk.
The church volunteers suspect that the burglary was carried out last Sunday evening, knowing that the church remains closed on Mondays, meaning that the break-in wasn’t discovered until later in the week.
