Frying Pan into The Fire

Two drivers in their 30s were killed on the GR-43 autovía when they got out of their cars after an accident.

This occurred on Tuesday night and also involved two other people being inured, according to the emergency coordination centre (112).

The drivers, aged 32 and 36 had been involved in a small collision and got out onto the tarmac to talk, but a third vehicle slammed into them both, killing them outright.

The call centre began receiving calls at 23.00h to report an accident at kilometre point five on the north-west-bound lanes.

They despatched the Policía Local, Guardia Civil and the Granada fire service, as well as an ambulance and a road-maintenace crew.

The paramedics confirmed that both drivers were dead and that there were two other people injured in the accident. The press release does not explain in which vehicle those injured were travelling; whether it was the car that hit the drivers or in one of two cars on the hardshoulder.

The GR-43 had to be temporarily closed and traffic diverted along the N-432.
