A driver who had lost all the points on his driving licence had just sat the theory exam for recuperating the losts points. So far, so good.
But he then left the driving school classroom in his own car and was stopped at a routine checkpoint… with no valid licence, of course, which made his car insurance null & void, as well.

This incident took place on the 15th of this month in Cáceres in Extremadura.
And as in all exams, whether it’s at school or sitting the theory part of a driving exam, you get people cheating, which was the case of one exam-sitter who was using a pinganillo (hidden earpiece). If you’re a schoolkid at highschool, you just fail the exam and get a bollocking but in a driving exam, well, that is classified as fraud and a hefty fine.
But who needs a hidden earpiece when you get somebody else to sit the exam for you, which was the case of a 24-year-old man in Cáceres who pretended to be an aspirant in an exam to regain a suspended licence through point loss. He used a forged ID, which is a whole new bucket of worms when it comes to illegality.
He was arrested, charged with document forgery and the supplanting of identity using a false ID and using it to sit an official examination, which comes under the Criminal Law Code..
The moral of the story is… don’t lose all the points off your driving licence…
