The Salobreña Councillor for Fiestas, Nelson Ligero, announced that the town is to have its first Feria de la Tapa!

It will take place during the Fiesta del la Virgen del Rosario, which is held between the 29th of this month and the 4th of October.

During the days that the said fiesta will run, bars, restaurants and hoteles within the municipality will be able to offer their own unique, culinary creations, explained Councillor Ligero. This means that each establishment that wants to participate must create its own special tapa.

These tapas (using local ingredients) will come with drinks for no extra charge, as is the custom in this province.

Furthermore, participating establishments must have a special poster on display, issued by the Town Hall, so that people can identify them as participating in the Feria de la Tapa.

Lastly, customers who manage to go to all the said establishments will automatically participate in a raffle.
