Concrete Beach Walkways

The Department in charge of beaches at Salobreña Town Hall began to lay out the concrete, beach walkways.

It is being laid in front of the Lifeguard post on Playa de la Charca.

The relevant councillor explained that the walkway sections were ordered some time ago but owing to the “logistical problems” experienced by the company that provided them, the Town Hall was unable to install them until yesterday morning.

These walkways lead across the beach to the surf so that people don’t burn their feet on the sand, although concrete blocks won’t exactly be, cool to walk on. However, they also provide a means for somebody in a wheelchair to reach the sea, as well.
