Just after daybreak yesterday a fire was reported in the very well known, chiringuito Cacola in Morche.
It was around 07.00h that the emergency services received a call out to this beach establishment on the Morche’s Paseo Marítimo.

The fire service rapidly put the fire out but not before the fire had consumed its wooden structures. Fortunately, nobody was hurt in the blaze.
Consequently, the Guardia Civil and the Policía Local will carry out a joint investigation into the fire.
The Mayor of Torrox, Óscar Medina (PP), expressed his sadness over the destruction of this chiringuito, as well as expressing his support for the family that own it. The owner, Jesse Manuel Ramos Cullinan, has run the chiringuito during several decades.
