A man in his late 20s fell to his death on Wednesday from a cliff in Nerja, According to the Emergency Call-Centre, 112.

The call centre received an alert at 19.15h to say that a 27-year-old man had fallen off the cliffs between Playa del Carabeo and Playa Carabeillo.

They immediately despatched an UVI ambulance and with a medical team onboard, as well as the Guardia Civil, Policía Local and Protección Civil. Unfortunately, nothing could be done for the victim, who died at the scene of the accident.

Apparently, this accidental fall occurred when a small group of friends decided to walk along the cliff tops between these two beach, which is a route that has been closed to the public for years.

This is not the only fatal beach accident of this kind in Nerja as in May 2022 a 19-year-old Lad dived head first from the Pico del Tarzán (10 metres in height) into the sea, lost consciousness and drowned – we ran an article on this at the time.
