Seven-thousand chickens died in fire in a poultry farm in Molvízar.

The fire was put out by the Almuñécar fire service without there being any structural damage to the building.

The cause behind the fire is not known but what is known is that the chicken were killed by the smoke and not from being burnt alive.

The fire affected part of the poultry farm where young chicks are raised for fattening.
