The Granada fire service were called out to get an obese patient out of their home via the window after suffering an accident at home in Zaidín.

First of all, fire personnel broke in through the front door but soon realised that there was no way to use the lift or stairs to get him out to hospital, so they used the extending ladder on one of their fire trucks.

Once down on street level the victim was first attended to by medical staff who had also received the call out. With this first check up carried out he was transported to hospital for a thorough check up.

The incident took place during the morning of Saturday the 27th.
