A recently born baby was found abandoned Saturday morning on Calle Actriz La Tirana, near the Parque del Duende in the city of Málaga.
A man discovered the baby, which was still alive, and wrapped it in a one of his own garments to keep it warm.
The same person alerted the emergency call centre, 112, which ordered a Policía Nacional patrol car that was in the area to take the baby to the Hospital Materno de Málaga.
The baby girl, who was barely hours old, was found at 08.30h, left lying on the street.
Reports from the hospital say that the baby girl is in good health, despite her experience.
She probably owes her life to this uncommonly warm weather even though we are in mid October.
