Without a doubt, it's not a good time to leave unattended luggage anywhere near where the EU Summit in Granada is taking place.

However, somebody didn’t get the memo and left two suitcases next to the a metro station (Argentinita).

Fortunately for the owners, the cases didn’t end up in a thousand pieces after being detonated with an explosive charge in an abandoned quarry, but rather deposited, intact, in the Lost & Found Office in the City Hall.

Nobody has come forward, however – strange!

As an aside but related, a driver, heavily under the influence, tried to avoid the police who had cordoned off the area and was stopped at gunpoint. The police were just a tad touchy at that time.
