Bouncy Castle Accident

Five children were injured when a bouncy castle that they were playing on literally took off owing to the strong winds.

SPN Toledo Bouncy Castle AccidentThe incident took place in Toledo on Friday night during a charity, football event on the local football ground.

All five children, who were sent flying, were taken to the Hospital Universitario de Toledo, three of whom, aged between ten and twelve, were taken there by their own parents.

The other two, aged ten and eleven, were taken in a medicalised ambulance; i.e., with basic, life-support equipment onboard. Fortunately, none of the victims was seriously injured.

The children had gone with their parents to the I Torneo Solidario, which had been organised by the Club Deportivo Toledo with the aim of collecting non-perishable foodstuffs (pasta, tinned fish, milk, oil and baby products) for families with financial problems.

According to the state weather agency, at the time of the accident the wind in that area was around 40 kph. Another event scheduled to be held in the city, the Toledo Beat Festival, had to be cancelled due to the weather, too.
