London Cabs Promote Granada

Along the same lines as Almuñécar putting publicity on London Buses, the Provincial Board of Tourism is doing the same but with emblematic London taxis or cabs.

GRA London Taxi with Granada PublicityThis campaign, like the Almuñécar one, coincides with the World Travel Market (WTM) which is probably the world’s most famous fair of its kind.

Now there are literally hundreds of London cabs plying the city’s street but the campaign won’t be that far reaching but instead will involve ten taxis which will bear the provincial logo until the first week of December.

Above all, the idea is to promote the direct air link between London Gatwick and Granada Airport (Aeropuerto Federico García Lorca) and thus recuperate the number of British visitors to the province following the pandemic, as well as reinforce this air route.

The Head of the Provincial Tourism Board, Enrique Medina, explained that, “the advert underlines how easy it is to reach Granada from London, thanks to the Vueling flights and what offers await them when they land; monuments, Nature, snow, beaches, sunshine and gastronomy.”

Some of the slogans included on the taxis are the phrases: Granada, where the Alhambra is just the beginning and “Granada, one thousand and one.

Finally, Sr. Medina is very satisfied with the number of businesses with whom they have established contact at the World Travel Market: “We have met with a hundred-odd tour operators, as well as at the European Tourism Association (ETOA), in London last week, which had over 700 tourism businesses on the continent.”
