A 58-year-old man on an electric scooter was injured when he was knocked off near the Armilla roundabout (which links Av. Fernando de los Río to the autovía).
The accident occurred around 14.00h on Tuesday (heading towards the Nevada shopping centre) when a family car (turismo) ran into the rider, knocking him off, which was witnessed by other drivers.
The Policia Local phoned for an ambulance as the victim had a head injury. The man suffered a convulsion inside the ambulance on his way to the nearby Hospital Universitario San Cecilio (PTS).
It is not clear who caused the accident; i.e., whether the victim had executed a dangerous manoeuvre, making a collision inevitable, or whether the car driver had.
