Thursday's Lotería Nacional made a happy bunny of somebody in Almuñécar holding number 51850 with a tidy 300,000 euros in prize money.

The newsagents-cum-stationeers, Jofri on Avenida de Andalucía, sold the winning ticket, which has become quite a habit for the family that run it, as numerous top prizes were sold there, amongst them, the special Christmas Lottery (El Gordo).

Of course, this Thursday’s number was also sold in other towns and cities in Spain, such as Cáceres, Coruña, Gipuzkoa, Asturias, Madrid, Sevilla and Valencia.

The Second Prize, worth 60,000 euros was sold in Bizkaia, Cáceres, Málaga, Madrid, Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Sevilla.
