La Herradura hosts again the Campeonato de Andalucía de Fotografía Submarina, which will take place this weekend in the privileged waters of the bay.

A presentation for the competition was given in the Town Hall, presided over by the Mayor, Trinidad Herrera.

“We wish to express through this presentation our complete support for such an important activity as sports & leisure diving for our municipality,” she said.

Competitors in the XXXIV Campeonato de Andalucía de Fotografía Submarina will work in pairs, of which there are 19, explained the event organiser, Manuel Crespo. These competitors come from Sevilla, Málaga, Almería, Córdoba, Cádiz and Granada.

The competition starts Saturday morning with two dives each and then on Sunday there will be two dives more so that the teams have as much time as possible to find the best ‘subjects & settings.”

The event also counts on the collaboration of the Club de Buceo Benalmádena and the Openwater Diving Centre, amongst other diving clubs.
