The Councillor for Public Works at the Provincial Council met up with villagers in Sorvilán to inform them about how things on the A-4131 Yesos road were going.

This road is the only one that connects the village to its beach dependency, Los Yesos.

The Mayor, Pilar Sánchez, was also present to hear Sr Villegas explain that the work contract has to be awarded yet again because the company that had won the original contract had fallen down on the job, failing to finish it by August 2021, as stipulated within the contract conditions.

So, whilst the papershuffling goes on, all work on the road will remain stopped until a new construction company can be allocated.

The provincial councillor pointed out that the stages in the bureaucratic process should be respected and insisted that the Provincial Council was ernest in its wish to finish the road “in the least amount of time possible.”
