There will be a classic & racing car meet in Albuñol on the 13th of this month.

This is the first meet of its kind and has been organised by the Albuñol Town Hall and Alpujarra Racing, taking place this Sunday.

KDD de Clásicos y Racing Albuñol 2022 will be held on the Esplanada El Cerrillo (where the fairground is usually set up) and is expected to have hundreds of vehicles from Granada and neighbouring provinces.

Members of the public will be able to look over the cars, which will be parked up for viewing on the said area.

This will be followed by a tour around Albuñol and nearby towns. There will also be a time trial as part of the racing side of the meet in La Rábita

The Mayor of Albuñol, María José Sánchez, said that these sorts of events are always popular amongst car enthusiasts, especially ‘petrol heads.’

Alpujarra Racing representative, Francisco Escudero, said, “We at Alpujarra Racing, believe that Albuñol ticks all the boxes for a location to hold the meet.”

Anybody who wants to (having this type of vehicle) can put their name down on their website. Those who do will receive a personalised backpack as well as a Alpujarra Racing sticker.
