Four young people were injured when their car skidded off the road on the A-7 autovía where it passes through the municipality of Vélez de Benaudalla.
According to the 112, emergency, call centre, the accident occurred near kilometre point 329 where the A-7 coastal autovia joins the A-44 heading down to the coast from Granada.
It was at around 02:00h this morning when the call was received from one of those in the car, explaining that their car had skidded out of control and left the road.
Both the Guardia Civil and the ambulance service were despatched, as well as the Policía Local and a road-maintenance crew.
Those injured were two man, aged 25 and 29 and two women, aged 25 and 30, all of whom were taken to Hospital Santa Ana in Motril.
