Carlos Sarrias will set off on his specially adapted bicycle on the 8th from Rincón de la Victoria and will ride to Orihuela (Alicante), to raise funds for Cerebral Palsy.
Carlos, who belongs to the Club Triple Plateros in Rincón de la Victoria, has the full backing of the club and the Rincón Town Hall, explained the Chairman of the cycling club, Juan Pérez.
In fact, all the members of the club will accompany Carlos on the first leg of his route but he will be accompanied by a support vehicle and team all along the 431 kilometre route over its three stages.
His ‘finishing line,’ La Aparecido, Orihuela in Alicante, was chosen because it is his town of birth.
Carlos has a second objective, other than raising awareness and funds for this condition, and that is to purchase a specially adapted cycle for a 10-year-old girl called Carmen from Málaga who suffers from Spastic Quadriplegia and a 94% handicap.

Lastly, anybody who would like to accompany Carlos along a part of his ride is more than welcome. You are asked to put your name down via https://sportcare.org.es/deporte-adaptado/. So far over 50 people have decided to do just that.
Carlos Sarrias is the actual leader in the MC1 category of the Copa de España de Ciclismo Adaptado 2021 and you can follow him via social media at: @CarlosSarriasInfantes (Facebook) and sarriasinfantes (Instagram).
