The painter, José Cabrera Alaminos (Almuñécar, 1958) will inaugurate an exhibition of his latest work on Saturday the 4th of September at La Galería.

This art gallery is on Calle Vélez, which leads up into the Plaza Constitución (Town Hall Square). In other words, if you’re standing looking at the town-hall building, it’s the street on your left.

The exhibition, containing works in oil and water colours, will run from the 4th until the 24th being open to the public from 19.00h to 21.30h each day. However, on the day of its opening, the inauguration event will take place at 20.30h

The painting exhibition has counted on the collaboration of the Asociación Arte Sur and the Municipal Board of Culture.

José Cabrera Alaminos, who is married and has three adult children, began his career quite early in life, in 1975, when he sold his first painting to a German tourist. Since then he has sold over 200 of his works, mainly to foreign visitors and residents.
