Restaurante Lute y Jesús on Avenida de Europa, in Almuñécar, has closed its door until at least the 13th after three of its staff were tested positive.
The owners immediately informed the health authorities and have disinfected the whole premises.
They also assured that they have always followed the health recommendations and measures and point out that this does not affect the other businesses under the same name as there is no contact between the staff one fried-fish shop and the other.
According to Lute, some of their workers reported in that they were feeling sick on Monday and had gone to the Medical Centre for a check up. Lute says that the centre did not consider that the symptoms that the workers had were compatible with those that coronavirus produces and did not carry out tests on them.
“They were there for five hours, and they just sent them home,” he stated in a communiqué on facebook.
For this reason, the owners were not satisfied and decided to go through a private clinic in Almuñécar where on Tuesdays they and the rest of the staff were tested (PCR). In the meantime, they closed the premises on Thursday to be on the safe side. And it is a good job they did because the two men came back with positive test results. Consequently, they have to remain close until the 13th.
“We have acted responsibly but just the test that we had to pay cost us 1,000 euros, because they didn’t want to do it in the Medical Centre,” concluded Lute.
