Salobreña’s mini, bus station will soon have a cafetería, just as soon as the premises comes into full use, including the public toilets, etc.
It was back in February that the process for awarding a leasing contract for the installations began. The companies that brought forward bids were all from Salobreña. However, with the Estado de Alarma in March, everything was thrown ten left (put off track).
Finally, when it was legally possible to do so, the lease was awarded and the company with the winning bid has been organising the cafetería, which will have the name of La Parada (The Stop).
The lease has a duration of five years, wherein the leaseholder must maintain the cleaning of the public bathrooms and the ticket office; a stipulation imposed by the national bus company, Alsa.
According to the lease conditions, the cafetería must be open from Monday to Sunday with the minimum opening hours of 09.00h to 22.00h. It is hoped that it will be open to the public within two to three weeks.
