Melodías de una Cuarentena (Melodies from a Quarantine) is the title of a Piano concert, charity performance in Almuñécar on the 27th of this month.

The performance will be given by concert pianist, Paloma Herrero Ocaña, starting at 20.30h at the Casa de la Cultura on the said day. The 3-euro admission fee will go to the Asociación Protectora de Animales y Medio Ambiente de Almuñécar (APAMA).

With this first cultural act the Municipal Board of Culture hopes to restart Almuñécar’s cultural agenda, explained Alberto García Gilbert, who is the Head of the Cultural Department.

For those of you who would like to show their support of this local animal-protection association but will be unable to attend, the event organisers have set up a Row Zero, which means that you can pay for a seat on this imaginary row, thus donating to the cause.

Paloma Herrero explained that this concert follows the four concerts that she gave in an online format during the quarantine. “There is no set programme – it will be a surprise,” she explained, so that the audience will discover the repertoire as it is played, which hopefully, will make it more enjoyable. She promised that she will include all kinds of music, from Classical pieces to film scores, from Disney tunes to her own compositions.
