Around 2,000 sq/m of grass & shrub land within the municipality of Molvízar was affected by a fire on Sunday in the area known as Marchal Alto.

It was the Almuñécar fire service in collaboration with eight personnel belonging to Infoca that dealt with the fire, which had broken out next to a chicken farm.

The fire was reported at approximately 16.30 and was dealt with in under two hours, despite the gusting winds, meaning that it was out before nightfall.
