Motril saw the arrival of 700,000, not-to-be-sniffed-at euros thanks to a lottery win with 20 winners netting 35,000 euros each.
For lottery seller, Ana María Retamero, this isn’t the first time that she has dished out some heavy-duty alegria because she also sold the tickets that brought in 200,000 euros six years ago.
Anyway, this time round the ONCE prize blasted a ground zero on Calle Ancha. Costing a mere 1.5 euros, the lottery offered 55 prizes of 35,000 euros for anybody that came up with the full, five numbers. For a measly 50 centimes more, these prize winners would have ended up with 3,000 euros a month for the next 25 years, as well as the 35,000 euros… if they also hold the correct series number, too.
