The Motril Town Hall has issued new regulations governing rubbish disposal; what time it can be put out for collection, etc.

Domestic refuse can only be put out between 20.00h and 23.00h; no matter whether surface or underground rubbish hoppers are used.

As far as shops putting out carboard boxes and other such rubbish, it must be done between 14.00h and 16.00h.

However, rubbish such as glass bottles, paper & cardboard  and cartons etc, can be put out any time of day – because they don’t stink in the heat, basically.

People putting out domestic refuse (of the rotting kind) outside the official hours could face fines of between 300 and 1,500 euros.
