Stay away from the Cabra road that leads to Granada from Almuñécar, passing through Otívar… there’s a bloody bicycle event on this morning!

Yes, the Almuñécar, Cota 1200 Memorial Miguel Ángel Almendros is going to clog the road today between 10.30h to 12.30h, meaning that the Guardia Civil is going to close it between Almuñécar and the old gas station at the top.

It is apparently not enough that you have to deal with cyclists peddling two abreast round blind bends at zero per hour every day of the year, we actually have to have the whole road closed down for this event.

As you can guess, I live at the top of this road and use it every day, so I am far from chuffed – which doesn’t show, of course.
